Globally, it has been observed that investors are becoming increasingly worried about the spread of coronavirus and there are fears that this will continue to drive a drop in the stock market.

2. The Australian government has cracked down on a response plan to tackle the potential spread of the coronavirus in Australia. World leaders and biosecurity experts have anticipated that a pandemic is "almost inevitable".

3. A new bill has been put forward to outline how the RFS will spend the $51 million raised by Celeste Barber during the Australian bushfire emergency. Under the existing bill, the donation money can only be used to purchase resources for firefighters. The Greens will put forward a bill to NSW Parliament today that will allow the donations to go toward support for victims, helping communities and providing care to animals.

4. Iran's health ministry confirmed 15 deaths from the coronavirus, making it the highest risk country outside of China. Cases of the virus have now exceeded 80,000 worldwide, with about 2,700 deaths, the vast majority in China. The announcement came after Iran's deputy health minister, Iraj Harirchi, tested positive for coronavirus just hours after appearing on television discussing the spread of the virus.

5. The big three suffered further losses, but not as bad as Monday, with S&P 500 down 3.03% at 3,128.21, Dow Jones Insutrial Average Index down 3.15% at 27,081.36 and Nasdaq Composite dropping 2.77% at 8,965.61.
