  1. NSW Transport Minister, Andrew Constance, who nearly lost his home in the New Years Eve firestorm has spoken out about the need for bushfire victims to receive cash in hand urgently. "We have families who are on their knees and welfare agencies and government departments need to move more quickly because so many people need food, clothing and accommodation," says Andrew.

  2. The US House of Representatives has submitted articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump to the senate for trial. The Democrats passed the vote to impeach Donald Trump in the House by 228 votes to 193. However the senate is controlled largely by the Republicans who have not shown any likeliness of voting to impeach the president.

  3. Prince Harry has made his last public appearance before stepping away from the Royal Family and joining his wife and son in Canada. Prince Harry was at Buckingham Palace for the draw of the 2021 Rugby League World Cup, which will be played in the United Kingdom.

  4. ASX soars past 7000 after the signing of the trade deal between the US and China. The S&P/ASX 200 advanced 0.5 per cent, or 34 points, to 7029.10 by midday.

  5. Wall street closed high on Thursday with Dow Jones up 267.42 points (0.92%) to 29,297.64, S&P 500 jumped 27.52 points (0.84%) to 3,316.81 and Nasdaq rose 98.44 points (1.06%) to 9,357.13.
