1. Bitcoin accepted by Twitter

Twitter has introduced a tipping feature as an experiment allowing creators to earn payments from their followers for the content they post on their account. This feature will now be extended globally to all Apple iOS users. Android users. however, will have access to this new feature in the coming weeks. Apart from traditional payment, like PayPal's Venmo, cryptocurrency as a form of payment will be integrated so creators can receive bitcoin tips.

2. Australian start up Canva is now estimated at $40 billion

Striving to make design software simple and easy to use, Melanie Perkins created start-up company Canva where users have created over 7 billion designs. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires index, Perkins and her husband Cliff Obrecht now have a wealth of $5.9 billion each.

3. Growing concerns of Covid outbreak after Melbourne protests

An individual who attended the Melbourne protests is now in hospital with COVID-19. According to 9 News, the Department of Health has confirmed this information and urges those who attended the protests and are experiencing symptoms, to get tested immediately.

4. Shares on Wall St rise strongly despite Evergrande debacle

Concerns regarding Evergrande's debt situation seem to have been brushed aside as Wall Street's major share indices all gained more than 1 per cent. Investors appeared to have taken comfort in the fact China's second largest property developer has a 30-day grace period on the US-dollar bond payment before technically falling into default.

5. The Nasdaq Composite is up 1.04%

The Dow Jones rose 506.50 or 1.48% to 34,764.82, the S&P 500 gained 53.34 or 1.21% to 4,448.89 and the Nasdaq Composite rose 155.40 or 1.04% to 15,052.24
