1. It has been confirmed that the 30-year-old man who was reported to have been the youngest Australian to die of COVID-19 actually tested negative.

2. Rio Tinto have been criticised for the "insincerity" of their apology for destroying a sacred Indigenous site to access iron ore. “We are sorry the recently expressed concerns of the [Puutu Kunti Kurrama and Pinikura people] did not arise through the engagements that have taken place over many years,” said Chris Salisbury, the head of Rio’s iron ore division. The AFR report that Rio Tinto had been negotiating with elders for 17 years.

3. US President Donald Trump has said state governors are "weak" for not enforcing stricter penalties to protestors of the George Floyd homicide.

4. Employees of Facebook staged a "virtual walkout" in protest of the company leaving US President Donald Trump's posts on Facebook and not following in Twitter's footsteps in flagging his posts as violent.

5. The Dow was up 0.36% to 25,475.02. The S&P 500 rose 0.38% to 3,055.73 and Nasdaq was up 0.66% to 9,552.05.
