1. AustralianSuper, the nation's biggest superannuation fund flagged the first negative annual return from its investments since the GFC. The balanced option's investment performance for the year to April was negative 3.3 per cent.

2. Westpac Institutional Bank has announced the retirement of their chief executive Lyn Cobley. Curt Zuber, group treasurer, will act as CEO of Westpac Institutional Bank from July 1, while an international search for a new executive is performed.

3. Origin Energy is innovating during COVID-19, with the company exploring and trialling new tech innovations in rooftop solar, batteries, electric vehicles and smart appliances. They also signed a $500 million deal earlier this month with British electricity disrupter Octopus, which is a fast-growing tech start-up.

4. Trump announced he would be holding a news conference on Friday, after China announced a national security bill that experts say could endanger the "one party, two systems" agreement with Hong Kong.

5. The Dow dropped 0.58% to 25,400.64. The S&P 500 was down 0.21% to 3,029.73 and Nasdaq fell 0.46% to 9,368.99.
