1. On Tuesday at midnight, 76 days after it became the epicentre of a global pandemic, the Chinese city of Wuhan will officially lift its quarantine measures and start the journey toward rebuilding a post-COVID-19 society.

2. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been admitted to the intensive care unit, 10 days after being diagnosed with COVID-19 where he experienced worsening symptoms after attempting to recover at home. The PM is conscious and it was last reported that he does not require ventilation.

3. CSL has joined forces with their Japanese competitor, Takeda, to develop a COVID-19 plasma treatment that uses the antibodies of patients who have recovered from the virus to assist in curing those seriously suffering from it.

4. Australia's progress toward "flattening the curve" has been hinted as Known new cases of COVID-19 nationally increased by 104 on Monday, an increase of 1.7 per cent, while reported deaths rose by five nationally to 40, a 14.3 per cent increase - which is the lowest daily increase in Australia so far.

5. Wall Street soared yesterday, with the Dow closing up 7.73% to 22,679.99, the S&P 500 rising 7.03% to 2,663.68 and Nasdaq jumping 7.33% to 7,913.24. These figures anticipate the ASX will also open on a high today.
