  1. Wesfarmers is selling 5.2% of Coles Group for $1.1 billion.
  2. Up to 6 million workers who have been let off from their jobs during the coronavirus outbreak will receive $1500 fortnightly payments, as part of the Australian governments largest rescue package in history. 
  3. NSW has enforced the federal governments isolation warnings, as those who leave their homes without a “reasonable excuse” could face 6 months in jail and receive an $11,000 fine. As of today, people cannot gather outside in groups of more than 2, aside from immediate family members or housemates.
  4. Oil prices have dropped again to a new low that hasn’t been seen in 18 years, ending on US$20.09 a barrel. 
  5. Wall Street ended on a high, with the Dow Jones up 3.19% to 22,327.48. S&P 500 was up 3.35% to 2,626.65 and Nasdaq was up 3.62% to 7,774.15.
