1. Sydney-based graphic design company Canva have raised new funding that value the company at $6 million. The $87.2 million in funding makes the startup the most valuable private technology business in Australia.
2. Gold prices have hit the highest they've been in over a month, climbing over 1% to $US1,755.58 per ounce at 1841 GMT.
3. Oil was up 2% overnight. Brent crude settled at $US43.08 a barrel, up 89 US cents, or 2.1 per cent.
4. AMP agreed to sell the life insurance part of the business, 'AMP Life' to Resolution Life and has received all regulatory approvals expected to be complete after June 30m for $2.5 billion.
5. The ASX is set to rise after Wall Street closed on a high, particularly due to the Nasdaq hitting a record high. The Dow closed up 0.59% to 26,024.96. The S&P 500 rose 0.65% to 3,117.86 and Nasdaq jumped 1.11% breaking a record at 10,056.48.
