If you want to watch the 2025 Melbourne Cup live, you have plenty of options, whether you’re at home, at work, or on the go. Here’s everything you need to know about streaming this year’s race live, wherever you are in Australia.

How to stream the Melbourne Cup live: 9Now

Channel Nine has the exclusive broadcast rights for the 2025 Melbourne Cup, and their 9Now app is the best way to stream the race live and free online.

How to stream via 9Now:

  • On your phone/tablet:
    1. Download the free 9Now app for iOS or 9Now app for Android.
    2. Open the app and sign up/log in with a free Nine account.
    3. Tap on “Live TV” and select Channel 9 to start streaming the Melbourne Cup live.
  • On your computer:
    1. Visit the 9Now website in your browser.
    2. Sign up or log in with your Nine account.
    3. Click on “Live TV” and choose Channel 9 to watch the stream.
  • On your TV:
    1. If you have a smart TV, search for and install the 9Now app from your TV’s app store.
    2. Log in, then select Live TV > Channel 9.
