Wake up and smell the ‘free’ coffee

As the cool weather sets in, if your mornings have felt a tad ordinary, Nespresso has a solution!

Nespresso brings Dua Lipa’s morning world to Sydney.

As the cool weather sets in, if your mornings have felt a tad ordinary, Nespresso has a solution! This panacea to an otherwise typical day involves world-class coffee, banana bread scrolls, and a whole lot of Dua Lipa energy. You might remember that this super star graced the cover of Harper’s BAZAAR cover in September last year.

Nespresso Australia has transformed the first floor of its iconic Pitt Street boutique in Sydney into the Vertuo Morning World Experience – a sunlit pop-up inspired by the New York apartment setting of the brand’s new global Vertuo campaign, starring superstar and cover girl Dua Lipa. Now open to the public, the experience invites Sydneysiders to slow down and savour the art of a perfect morning.

The globally recognised coffee brand has teamed up with Bondi’s much loved bakery Sundays Bondi to craft a rotating, limited-edition coffee menu that is legally indulgent! While this is a free taste of coffee, there is limited capacity, so you need to book. Available at ticketed Saturday events and during Happy Hours every Thursday to Saturday from 4 June until 18 July, the menu showcases the possibilities of Nespresso’s Vertuo capsule range. It’s worth getting out of bed for!

Three show-stopping drinks headline the menu. The Strawberry & White Chocolate Cloud Iced Latte layers a creamy iced latte with condensed milk, crowned with a luscious strawberry white chocolate cloud. The Salted Maple Banana Bread Mont Blanc is a rich iced coffee with homemade banana bread syrup and a silky maple cream topping. And for those who like a slight oomph with their morning cup, the Spicy Honey Butter Latte delivers warm honey butter notes with a subtle cayenne kick.

The experience is built around the launch of Nespresso’s new Vertuo Up machine – a sleek, intuitive home brewer featuring precision barcode brewing technology and a dedicated coffee creations mode for a more concentrated extraction. Whether you prefer your coffee iced, hot, smooth or unexpected, the Vertuo Up is designed to answer the brand’s defining question: “What Else?”

Inside the transformed Nespresso Lab, you can lounge in day beds, catch the sunrise, flip through The Nespresso Daily morning newspaper, and enjoy complimentary refreshments – all while soaking up the kind of slow, languid morning that most of us only dream about on weekdays. Think breakfast in bed, newspaper crosswords and the intoxicating smell of freshly brewed coffee, translated into an immersive experience in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.

For those craving the full Sundays Bondi treatment, an indulgent Nespresso Banana Bread Scroll will be available alongside the coffee menu on three select Saturdays – but remember: tickets are essential, as sessions are complimentary and spaces are strictly limited to 50 people at a time.

The Nespresso Lab x Sundays Bondi Morning World is open at 144 Pitt Street, Sydney. Ticketed Saturday sessions now run 6 June and 13 June from 10am to 2pm. Happy Hours run Thursday to Saturday 4 June to 18 July, also 10am to 2pm.

Entry is complimentary; book at nespresso.com/au/en/events.
