It’s another move for La Vie, whose Asia-Pacific portfolio keeps growing.

The Gold Coast is set to get its first Westin with La Vie Hotels & Resorts named hotel manager for the brand’s debut on the strip, a 138-key tower rising from levels 6 to 25 of a new mixed-use development, with rooms and suites looking straight out over the Pacific or the hinterland.

“Being appointed to manage Westin Gold Coast is a proud milestone for La Vie Hotels & Resorts,” said CEO Jerry Xu, calling it a strong endorsement of the platform the company has built across the region. Xu credited developer M Property’s vision and thanked Marriott International for the trust placed in La Vie to bring it to life.

Westin’s pitch has always been wellness first, and the Gold Coast’s beach-and-lifestyle identity makes it an easy match. Expect the brand’s three pillars, Eat Well, Sleep Well, Move Well, built into everything from the WestinWORKOUT® Fitness studio to the Heavenly Spa by Westin. Marriott’s Tristan Cooper called it “a natural fit between brand and location,” pointing to strong performance already across Westin’s existing Australian footprint.

The build itself is designed for both business and leisure travellers: 115 guest rooms, 23 suites, a signature restaurant and bar, conference and meeting space, an infinity pool and pool bar, and dedicated guest parking, all just steps from the Gold Coast’s main transport links.

M Property says the deal is a milestone in its own right: “Our long-term vision for the Gold Coast as a world-class hospitality destination,” is how the developer framed it, adding that La Vie’s track record and understanding of the guest journey made it the right operating partner.

Marriott runs two resorts on the Gold Coast, with four more in the pipeline. Doors are expected to open in late 2029.
