1. NSW has recorded 275,000 job losses as the economy is expected to shrink 10%. Unemployment in NSW is forecasted to reach 7.75%.

2. China has reported 100 new cases of COVID-19 out of Beijing. The WHO said the outbreak was a "concern" but claims it was the result of imports or packaging of salmon rather than community transmission.

3. The ASX is expected to rise as Wall Street closed on a high after the Fed announced it will buy individual corporate bonds to help prop up the economy. Treasury yields and stock futures also rose.

4. The Australian Banking Association shared 480,727 Australians applied for home loan deferrals, as total borrowings come to $173.4 billion. The big banks are prepared for 96,000 home loan borrowers who asked for a six-month deferral to be facing financial difficulties and unable to make repayments.

5. The Dow rose 0.62% to 25,763.16. The S&P 500 was up 0.83% to 3,066.59 and Nasdaq jumped up 1.43% to 9,726.02.
